techformist ("we", "our", or "us") operates JodNote, a local-first desktop note-taking application. This Privacy Policy explains our data practices for JodNote.
The Short Version
JodNote collects ZERO data about you. All your notes stay on your computer. We don't have servers, we don't track you, and we never see your data.

All data created in JodNote is stored exclusively on your local device:

Access: Only you and applications with access to your user account can read this data.
No Cloud Storage
JodNote does NOT:
- Upload data to any servers
- Sync data to the cloud
- Send data over the internet
- Connect to external services
- Communicate with techformist or any third party
Third-Party Services
JodNote does not integrate with, communicate with, or share data with any third-party services.
Data Security
Your Responsibility
Since all data is stored locally on your computer:
- You are responsible for backing up your notes
- You are responsible for securing your computer
- You are responsible for data recovery
We recommend:
- Regular backups of the database file
- System-level encryption if handling sensitive data
- Standard computer security practices
No Transmission Security
Since JodNote never transmits data over the internet, there are no network security considerations.
Children's Privacy
JodNote does not collect data from anyone, including children under 13. The application can be used by anyone, as it collects no personal information.
Data Deletion
To delete all your data:
- Uninstall JodNote
- Delete the folder:
C:\Users\<YourUsername>\AppData\Roaming\com.jodnote.app\
That's it. There are no servers to contact, no accounts to delete, no data retention periods.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date.
Since JodNote doesn't collect data, policy changes typically involve clarifications rather than changes to data practices.
Your Rights
